Indentation और tabs
Spaces का लगातार उपयोग करें। YAML indentation में tabs मान्य नहीं हैं, भले editor में aligned दिखें।
Child key को parent से अधिक indent करें। समान स्तर की sibling keys एक ही column से शुरू होनी चाहिए।
Colon, list और quotes
Key-value colon के बाद space दें। List item के dash के बाद भी space रखें। Ambiguous punctuation वाली string को quotes में रखें।
पहली बताई गई error ठीक करें; बाद की errors उसका परिणाम हो सकती हैं। सबसे छोटा failing example बनाएँ, फिर sections एक-एक करके जोड़ें।
